🏰 #23 Growth Tactics + Top B2B Marketing Posts Shared on LinkedIn in 2023 [Free eBook]

Hey — It's Mariano.
Wishing you a lovely Saturday and a happy new year from 🏰 SaaS-HQ.com 🍾
Welcome to our newsletter. Every week, we send:
✅ 1 to 3 bite-sized case studies to grow your SaaS
✅ 1 to 3 curated resources from top-notch experts
Let’s dive in!
[Bite-sized case studies]
#1 Pre-populate data & templates to ease onboarding
A blank canvas is always intimidating,
and first impressions do count.
Your job is to make life easier for your users.
⟶ Can you pre-populate your app with sample data?
⟶ Can you provide templates for your users?
Even if the users need to remove all this, it will hint at how your platform is supposed to be used. Check out the Notion example.
Best way to go about this is to think: "What core features do my users need to know about?"
You will realize you need to segment by use cases and personas.
Then, go ahead and build some experiments.
Look closely at your 'aha-moment' and TTL (time to value).

🟢 I just posted this today on LinkedIn. Have you tried pre-populating data or using templates in your platform? Let me know what the results were!
#2 Interview customers often to reduce SaaS churn
You should always be talking with your customers.
Your customers are the best judge.
Interviewing them will help you identify loopholes and get data for decision-making.
This post shares the Woodpecker case study. They interviewed 65 customers and got some nice findings. You can also check some of the questions they used.
TAKEAWAYS:
Each interview is personal and different. Don’t be a robot!
Ask concise, actionable questions to improve retention and reduce churn.
Interview diverse customers for balanced feedback on strengths and weaknesses. (good customers, and bad customers!)

The Most Inspiring B2B Marketing Posts Shared on LinkedIn in 2023
Postream was a LinkedIn publication that selected each week's best B2B SaaS posts.
This is a PDF they have compiled with the best post of 2023. Amazing work. Use it wisely.
😞 Sadly, they stopped the project. I want to work on something similar for 2024. Please get in touch with me if you're interested (or know someone who might be). You need to be active on Linkedin and into B2B SaaS.
That’s all for this edition, the eBook has a lot to digest, and I’m still recovering for NYE dinner.
Let’s have a calm year. This is my wish for you (and me) for this year.
Thanks for reading.
Best,
Mariano Martene
PS: I still have some availability for Q1 2024. Work with me!
