REFERRAL

1) Reduce up to 30% of your churn with a cancellation Flow

Implementing a cancellation flow could be one of your fastest ways to reduce your churn and improve your product.

It’s a combination of retention tactics (many of which I shared in this newsletter) that will allow you:

  • Avoid or deflect cancellations → compound effect on $MRR

  • Gather valuable feedback → build a better product

Usually triggered by users clicking a “Cancel Subscription” button.

All large tech companies have their own cancellation flows. Netflix, Amazon Prime, Spotify, Adobe, LinkedIn, Canva, Miro etc.

I’ve included some flows at the end (see Resources section) for you to get inspired in case you want to do it yourself.

Often, engineering teams are better focused on building your product. If that’s your case, I've got good news for your:

I can implement this for your SaaS in exchange for a little feedback.

Just send me an email at [email protected] with the subject “Cancellation Flow” and I’ll send you more info.

METRICS

2) All your SaaS metrics connected across layers

I often see a lot of visuals about SaaS metrics. But this one nailed. Either you’re the founder or in growth, you need to work and connect all the layers at the same time.

FEEDBACK

3) Talk to your customers

They tell you to talk to your customers but no one tells you that unfortunately most of your customers are unresponsive.

In my experience I get the best results by keeping it simple like if you’re writing a message to a friend.

One word subject line. A couple of sentences. One ask.

Most people want to be helpful as long as you don’t ask them to read and reply to a wall of text with lots of questions.
