EARLY-STAGE
1) iterate
Iteration, not ideation, is the most important part of early stage entrepreneurship.
You have to have a lot of ideas — a lot of bad ideas — if you want to end up with a good one.
You have to stop thinking and start doing.

VALUATION
2) ARR is the WRONG way to value most SaaS companies.
Yes, I said it. Here's why:
The Efficiency Problem. Two companies. Both $5M ARR.
Company A: 50 employees
Company B: 15 employees
Same ARR. VERY different businesses.
Yet the market often values them similarly. Make it make sense? 🤷♂️
The Real Story: EBITDA
EBITDA tells you who's building a real business and who's just burning cash.
Think about it:
• Lower headcount = Higher margins
• Higher margins = Better economics
• Better economics = Higher valuation
Simple. As. That.
When ARR Actually Matters
ARR only tells a compelling story when:
1. You're still burning cash BUT
2. Have killer unit economics AND
3. Each marketing dollar prints money (high LTV/CAC)
Otherwise? Show me the EBITDA.
The Growth Reality
"But what about growth?"
News flash: Growth is harder with:
• High churn
• Leaky bucket metrics
• Bloated teams
Efficient companies can grow faster because they have margins to reinvest.
The Bottom Line
Stop fetishizing ARR.
Start rewarding efficiency.
Value businesses based on their EBITDA multiple.
The market's starting to figure this out. Are you?

DISTRIBUTION
3) Distribution wins
If you find yourself arguing that your company will win just because your product is better, you should staple this chart to your shirt.

Building a Micro-SaaS: How we iterate from problem to prototype in two weeks
Yesterday, we launched iterate.so — a growth engineering studio with two main goals:
1) To build our own portfolio of innovative solutions.
2) To help SaaS companies grow and scale.
Our approach? learn from the failures, iterate fast, and turn chaos into growth.
We’re looking for ambitious teams ready to breakthrough 🚀
As we start this journey, we want to showcase our approach—how we think and work—by sharing a series of mini-cases.
For this first case, we explored creating a new tool, potentially a micro-SaaS product. This mini-case shows our approach to building and validating a prototype, giving you a window into our problem-solving mindset.
