[Bite-sized case studies]

1# The marketing channel that all SaaS miss

There are not that many communication channels out there if you think it.

Actually…. I would argue that there are too few, and all of them are saturated.

It’s tough to get attention nowadays.
And when it happens, it is the result of human talent, creativity, and hard work.

The one channel that everyone misses is: SMS.

How do I know? Because I worked for a company that provided this service to other software companies. I’ve seen it with my own eyes.

It’s the only channel with +98%open rate

How to implement?

Before jumping on hiring a full SMS automation platform, just grab a small percentage of your list and send a test message.

Your first SMS should be short and include three things:

who you are
what’s for them (give them something nice, it’s your first interaction!). But it could be a bonus, coupon, access to a feature, etc…
a CTA

2) Use retargeting ads to communicate w/ your customers during their journey

When a user signs up, you need to constantly remind him one thing only: why your product is the solution he needs.

One great way to do this is by running retargeting ads, why?

✅ they are inexpensive
✅ you target 100% of your audience
✅ you can go all channels!

This content always does the trick:

Case studies
Testimonials
Blog content (pain-related)

3) Use Loom to build a bank of "educational" videos for your users

You can use a loom or any other tool.

This saves you time and effort by repurposing.

The concept is simple. Your CS takes time and records some videos with your top FAQ.

💡 you can also do this trick to show new features and collect rapid feedback!

PS: It will also come in handy to train your AI soon.

That’s my fellow SaaS friends.

You may or may not noticed that this edition was different.

It has no external links, and I decided to write all the hacks in one go, and now it’s a 5’ newsletter reading for real.

Can you tell if you like it better this way?

Have a great weekend! 🙌

Best,
Mariano Martene
